The Dare Quotient

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
Theodore Roosevelt

Every leader is judged by his/her risk taking appetite and strategic decision making attitude where every decision has almost 50 – 100 % failure chances, does that mean that one doesn't plunge into it?

Dealing with different generations and bridging the gap would be challenging and cannot be ignored or one can't get away scot free without addressing the sentiments of everyone as every leader has to be a people's person .

With reference to the above image ; our managerial level staff (Gen Y) are the level we leaders (Gen x) are dealing with day to day while the founder management level are the ' baby boomers ' 🤔 what next?
The attitude of Gen Y and the expectations of the baby boomers haven't the slightest match as that was the generation which toiled and sweat blood to establish their empires and the Gen Y who seem 🙃 with ´Y' as their ultimate question to every task .

Hence harnessing the Dare Quotient is imperative for Gen x leaders, after all not every flower becomes a fruit 🍉, doubtless to say have realistic expectations.
